Our founders
As the founder of Independent Diagnostics, Dr. Amnon Beniaminovitz brings a high level of clinical expertise in cardiology, cardiovascular imaging, digital imaging and prevention.
He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular Interpretation and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He earned his Bachelor’s degree at New York University and his Medical degree at Mount Sinai Medical School of New York, completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and Cardiology Fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City.
Following his training, he joined a private practice in New York City becoming the Division Head of Cardiology. During that time, he developed extensive expertise in disease- state management and early detection, as well as expertise in implementation of new imaging modalities, quality control, compliance and information technology. Dr. Beniaminovitz has published articles and abstracts with a focus on prevention, nutrition, imaging and exercise.
Dr. Beniaminovitz has also lectured on topics such as heart failure, hypertension, Peripheral Vascular Disease, lipids, optimal diet and exercise, obesity, autonomic dysfunction, cardiovascular imaging and cardiovascular detection, treatment and risk reduction.
As Independent Diagnostics co-founder, Avishai Cohen brings over 20 years experience in client services, operations and systems integrations. He combines these areas to help address the evolving needs and challenges of primary care physicians today.
For over a decade, Avishai has been a driver of innovation for leading technology companies. He has developed extensive medical regulatory and compliance expertise in overseeing multi-disciplinary healthcare teams. He is passionate about helping healthcare practitioners grow their practices by introducing new services and increasing operational efficiencies.
